Open to intermediate and advanced students who wish to learn:

• improvisation techniques

• jazz theory and harmony

• jazz styles and interpretation

• ensemble playing

Ages 13 to 18 accepted

(middle school students accepted with teacher referral)

Cost: $500 per student

We are looking for students who play trumpet, saxophone, trombone, drumset, bass (upright or electric), guitar and piano. Non-traditional jazz instruments (flute, clarinet, double reeds, tuba, strings etc.) may apply. Our maximum ensemble size is 18 players. For our charter season, players will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis. No auditions will be held, but short playing demonstration videos may be requested.
