Off The Page: Jazz Improv Workshop
Join saxophonist Bobby Muncy at Vanguard Arts for an interactive jazz improvisation workshop designed to sharpen your skills and expand your musical vocabulary. Participants will dive into learning tunes, scales, theory, and the building blocks of jazz language in a supportive, hands-on setting. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, this workshop offers practical tools to take your improvisation to the next level.
Girls Rock NOVA Songwriting Workshop
Students age 11-18, come learn the foundations of songwriting from DMV musician Izzy Burke! All experience levels are welcome, so whether you've already got the confidence of a rock star or you're just getting started on your journey, we'd love to have you!

Jazz Jam
On the third Friday of every month, come out and jam with other cool cats in the area! This event is completely free and open to the public, and is an all ages, all experience levels event! Backline drums, bass amp, vibraphone, and weighted electric keyboard are provided.
Guitar Repair Workshop
Learn the basics on guitar and bass set-up and maintenance from Al Pachter of Al’s Guitar Workshop, with demonstrations on instruments that are brought in by participants! Al will show how to make the adjustments and use the tools needed, with particular emphasis placed on which repairs are suitable for those interested in learning guitar maintenance and which are better left to a professional.
