Join Vanguard Arts Center for an exciting performance-based musical theatre experience as we produce SIX: Teen Edition!
Take your musical theater performance to the next level in this comprehensive, performance-driven class designed specifically for teens ages 13 to 18. Whether you are preparing for high school musical leads, community theater, or college auditions, this rigorous training program develops well-rounded, confident performers.
Core Curriculum Focus:
Advanced Vocal Technique: Master healthy breath support, vocal agility, resonance, and belt mechanics specific to musical theater repertoire.
Performance Skills: Learn how to translate lyric and melody into compelling, emotionally honest acting choices on stage.
Ensemble Singing: Build advanced harmonic blending, ear training, and collaborative skills while singing complex multi-part ensemble arrangements.
The Culmination:
All intensive training and ensemble rehearsals directly culminate in a fully staged musical production, giving students the invaluable experience of bringing a complete show to life from the rehearsal room to the footlights.
Ages: 13–18 years old
Prerequisites: Prior singing or theatrical experience recommended.
About SIX: Teen Edition
From Tudor queens to pop icons, the six wives of Henry VIII remix 500 years of history into an empowering celebration of resilience, confidence, and finding your own voice. Featuring a contemporary pop score inspired by today's biggest artists, SIX: Teen Edition allows each queen to tell her story while celebrating friendship, individuality, and female empowerment.
Cost: Six monthly payments of $133.33

Audition: Prepare two excepts from two different queens, 1 minute in length each.
