Gokul Chalasani is a multi-instrumentalist with 10 years of teaching experience, and is an active live sound and recording engineer in the DMV. In addition to bonding with orchestral instruments at a young age, he has taken on the lifelong journey of playing guitar and sharing his genre-diverse experiences with his students. His expectation is to create a judgement-free learning environment that allows the student to learn at their own pace, while also encouraging them to approach new concepts or techniques each lesson. Gokul believes the overlap of fundamental concepts found in diverse musical traditions can help students appreciate music’s many forms and broaden their palate. He hopes to help his students become strong advocates of artistry and make their world more musical.
Gokul has experience in a large variety of genres such as orchestral, metal, reggae, jam, classic rock, alt and progressive rock. He also continues to develop understanding in Indian classical music, electronic, country, bluegrass, and independent record production. His favorite genre right now is experimental alternative.

We keep a card on file and bill your account on the 1st of the month, for all of the lessons in that month.

We do all of our private music lessons in our studio located in Chantilly, VA. Our state-of-the-art facility provides a dedicated learning environment designed to foster a strong sense of community, access to top-tier equipment, and a focused learning atmosphere.
