voice
Alan Hogan is a Baritone from Northern Virginia. His first instrument was Voice ; second, the Autoharp.
He began singing in school, church, and community choirs as a teenager, but transitioned to Rock & Pop repertoire as he explored the craft of songwriting and music production.
After studying Musical Theatre at Ithaca College, he returned to the DC area to co-found you2gaze records, a small independent record label with a collaborator model and a focus on female and LGBTQ+ Artists.
Alan has been honored by the Songwriter's Association of Washington several times, most recently taking home a category Gold medal for "The Bunnyman".
He is also the Musical / Technical Director and Keyboardist/Cowriter for Shelley Star and the Galaxy, a local Pop Rock band from the Planet Glam.
Alan believes firmly that anyone can sing; that anyone can write a song; and that your voice and unique perspective matter!
When he isn't gigging with one of his bands, or busking on the boardwalk, Alan can be found in the studio writing, or in the kitchen cooking for his friends.
